Outdoor Fun

Noah {the neighbor's son} came over to play one day last week. Noah is 3 and bless his heart, Anna Claire just bosses him around and he does whatever she tells him too. It was nice to have someone else pull her in the wagon. {Please note - She is almost bigger than he is} This is Anna Claire and "Red Dog". We don't know her real name, so Anna Claire has always called her "Red Dog". She comes over to the house every day that we are outside.

In this picture she is putting the soccer cones from her soccer goal on Noah's head. She prefers to wear them as a hat instead of using them as actual soccer cones.

Daycare

Barnyard here we come!! Anna Claire will be starting Barnyard on June 1st for 3 days per week. We are starting part time, but I hope to send her full time when she turns 3. I was kind of sad because my little baby will be going to daycare, but I know she will love it. I think her Daddy was sad to see the total at Wal-Mart for her supply list. LOL!!

Little Fella........

Last night I had to sit on the couch and hold Little Fella while Anna Claire played. I did catch her trying to feed him some gummies at one point. It cracks me up!!

Let me introduce.............

you to Little Fella.
Little Fella is a green worm that Anna Claire got for Christmas when she was a year old. She has had nothing to do with Little Fella until just recently, when she named him "Little Fella". I'm not sure where she got the name from, but that is his name. LOL!! You may wonder why Little Fella is sitting on my bathroom counter. Well, why else? To get his teeth brushed bc he has soooooo many. LOL!! Don't you see them?You never know what Little Fella is going to do. He may come over and tickle you, he may sit at the Kitchen table with you, he may even try to get in bed with you to go "Night Night", but Mommy has to drawn the line somewhere bc rolling over on Little Fella would not be a pleasant experience.

Church.........

This has been an amazing journey for me. I decided a few months ago that Kerry, Anna Claire, and I needed to get in to Church. Anna Claire and I started going to Church with Nana and Papa. Kerry would show up with us occasionally, but since the Church was still looking for a permanent Preacher, Kerry chose not to come. Every Sunday as soon as we got to Church, Anna Claire would announce to everyone at Church that she wanted to go "PLAY IN THE BALLS." She would yell it, everyone would laugh, and then Nana would take her to the Nursery so that she could play in the balls. {they have a little plastic swimming pool full of balls}

A few Sundays ago I got to hear Brother Scott Reed give a sermon at Church. I was moved and went home and told Kerry about him. Kerry decided to come with us to Church on Mother's Day, the first day that Brother Scott was the permanent Preacher for the Church. Kerry was moved and came back with us this past Sunday. On Mother's Day, Anna Claire did not feel the need to go "PLAY IN THE BALLS." She wanted to stay in the sanctuary with us. After the special Mother's Day activities, Kerry finally got her to stay in the Nursery, after all, those of you that know my child, know she has no volume control and will talk when she feels the need to talk. LOL!!

This past Sunday, I was going to let her stay for the Children's part and then take her to the Nursery, again she did not announce to everyone that she wanted to go "PLAY IN THE BALLS." She was standing on the pew while we were singing and then we went to prayer and Anna Claire starts to yell "WHERE'S PAPA? WHERE DID PAPA GO?" Papa was sitting next to her Daddy. LOL!! After the first prayer, Papa took Anna Claire to the Nursery. It was Nana and Papa's turn to keep the Nursery, but Nana was sick, so I went back to help. When I got back there Anna Claire came running to me begging, in her own little sweet way, to please go back out there where Daddy was. I wouldn't let her bc she is so wild, so I talked her in to staying in the Nursery with me.

Once Church was over, we opened the door and Anna Claire took off running to her Daddy. Daddy took her hand and around the corner they went. I find out once we get in the car that Anna Claire was in a rush to get to Brother Scott. Kerry said she ran up to him and held her arms up for him to hold her. {note she loves everyone, but that doesn't mean you can hold her} Brother Scott picks her up and continues to shake hands with everyone while holding Anna Claire. This is the first real interaction that she has had with this man. This man of God, this man that Anna Claire can sense the good in. I was amazed!! Is he the reason she wants to stay in the sanctuary every Sunday now? Does she know that God sent him to our Church? They say that children can sense things that adults cannot bc children have an open mind to everything, as their minds are not clouded with judgement. My sweet innocent child has proved to me that this Church is the place for us to be and Kerry is starting to agree.

Our Tuesday afternoon................

First I guess I should start off stating that I have issues with the park in Shelbyville. I will just leave it at that. We took Anna Claire there once last year and Kerry and I both agreed that we would not go back. We left there and went to the park in Wartrace. Yes, we drove to Wartrace so Anna Claire could play at the park. Well, I have found an even better park now. Cliff, my step-Dad, did dozer work when they were building the Bell Buckle park a few years ago. Actually, he usually does dozer work their every Summer. Last night we all went to Bell Buckle Cafe {YUMMY} for dinner and Cliff had to go to the Bell Buckle park to do some measuring. He did this while we ate dessert and then came back and got us. We went back to the park after dinner, so Anna Claire could play. Let me tell you, Bell Buckle park is our new park!! Anna Claire loved it and so did I. It was very clean and had 2 different play areas, one for the bigger kids and one for toddlers. The big kid area has 4 slides and the toddler area has 3 slides. They have swings and stuff to climb on as well.
Anna Claire, of course, wanted no part of the toddler slides. She had to be a dare devil and go down the big slides. {sorry the pics are blurry - I took them with my cell phone}

MeMe was at the top and I was at the bottom waiting for AC.

Our Weekend........

was very busy. On Saturday, Anna Claire, MeMe, Granny, and I went to Murfreesboro shopping. Before we started shopping we went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. Sunday, we went to Church, Wal-Mart, El Mexico, and then home for a nap. Anna Claire and I slept until almost 6:00pm. After our nap we played outside, then we went to the duck pond. This was Anna Claire's first visit to the duck pond. She LOVES Ducks!! One of the ducks ate some bread out of her hand. Once we fed all the ducks, we went to Dairy Queen for dinner and of course ice cream!! It was a great Mother's Day weekend and I am blessed to have Anna Claire as my daughter.
I didn't realize how many ducks there were until we started to feed them. There were at least 20. They came from what seemed to be no where when we brought out the bread.

Party Pictures!!

We had 2 parties over the weekend. By the end of the party Sunday and 200 pictures later, Anna Claire was partied out. The weather was perfect and we had a wonderful time. We are very grateful to everyone that came out to share in our memories with us. Anna Claire is set for backyard fun, but she was sad to see the Big Red Dog go back to the rental place on Monday. It was a perfect weekend for a perfect little girl. Thank You for sharing Anna Claire's birthday weekend with us!!

Edit~I will make a new post so that the slideshow will show up. Apparently when I type after adding the slideshow it messes things up. I guess I should explain her face. She fell off the steps of the deck at her party Saturday and scraped her little face on the edge of the steps. I told Kerry I was going to get some swim noodles and put them on the edge of the steps. He laughed at me, but this is the second time we have gotten scratched up from them. The other time was on her side, as I was catching her from falling off the steps. The Little Daredevil!! Her super cute shirt from Sunday's party was purchased from Etsy. If you haven't checked out Etsy, they have some super cute things and everything is "homemade", of course the shirt wasn't, but you know what I mean. HERE is the link to who I ordered AC's shirt from. I ordered Anna Claire's a size 4 bc that is what the lady told me to order. I was hesitant, but she was 100% correct in the size that I needed. The outfit from Saturday's party came from Jelly Beans.

Anna Claire's 2 year appointment

We went to see Dr. Bradley on Monday for Anna Claire's 2 yr appt. Anna Claire weighs 29 pounds and is 36 1/4 inches tall. She is in the 75th percentile for her weight and the 97th percentile for her height. Dr. Bradley did say she was a little thin, but she said she felt like it was because Anna Claire is so tall. Anna Claire's head measured 46 1/2cm, which is in the 25th percentile. In other words her head is smaller than most kids her age, but I have always thought she had a big head. ; ) Anyway, the appointment went well. Dr. Bradley seemed very surprised that Anna Claire is such a talker and is already putting full sentences together. Yes, my child is a chatter box!! Dr. Bradley did have the Nurse (which is new by the way, if any of you haven't been to see her lately, but she is super good with AC) take a picture with their machine of AC's eyes. I should get the results back from the test soon. Anna Claire's eyes are VERY sensitive to light. Dr. Bradley said it is probably due to allergies, but wanted to do the eye test, just to make sure everything is ok.
