We Danced, Partied, and Shopped

That pretty much sums up our weekend.  Friday night the guy came over and hooked up the new HVAC unit for our upstairs, so after he left Anna Claire and Kerry played upstairs until bedtime.  She loves her new playroom and bless her heart she only got to play in it for about a week before the heating and cooling unit went completely out, but she is back in business again.

Saturday was a very busy day!!  We got up, got ready, and took Anna Claire to dance class.  After dance class we headed to Bell Buckle to a birthday party, then we dropped Daddy off at home so he could get a nap in before going to work, and Anna Claire and I headed to meet MeMe to watch the Christmas parade.  After the Christmas parade we did a little shopping in Murfreesboro with MeMe.  Anna Claire spent the night with MeMe and Big Daddy, so I wrapped a few presents and put some bows on some of the gifts.

Sunday we headed to Church and after Church I went grocery shopping.  It was my birthday, but it was so cold and snowy I chose not to go out to lunch.  I just wanted Anna Claire home and not running around in the cold, so she went home with MeMe and Big Daddy while I grocery shopped.  Kerry slept while we were gone because he had to be back at work Sunday night.  Everything was calm all day and Anna Claire even behaved all day long!!  LOL!!  At one point she rounded the corner in the Kitchen and broke out singing Happy Birthday to me.  It was so sweet!!  It was a great day!!  I got new black boots, 2 pairs of flats, and some Under Armour pants from MeMe and Big Daddy.  Kerry and Anna Claire got me a new Vera Bradley purse and wallet.  He was relieved that the ladies at the Pomegranate took care of him.  Bless his heart!!  Kerry and I don't usually do gifts for each other on birthdays and Christmas, but this year it had to change.  Anna Claire is old enough now that she wants to give Mommy and Daddy gifts for their birthday and Christmas too.   So, back in November, her and I went to Murfreesboro and got Daddy's birthday present.  She was so excited to give him his gifts and then a few weeks ago her and Kerry went shopping for my birthday gift.  {I've actually had the purse since November 26th, I just waited until today to carry it because as soon as I walked in from shopping on the 26th Anna Claire came running with the gift wanting me to open it.  I think she may have gift keeping issues like her Daddy and I.}   The best gift though was having my family around and everyone being healthy and happy.

Now, I'm sure you remember this picture from when Anna Claire went to the pumpkin patch, right?  She was telling the Scarecrow all about it!
Well, Santa wondered in to the birthday party Saturday in Bell Buckle.  They were having Christmas in Bell Buckle last weekend, so he was out and about.
So, here she is telling Santa all about it!!  She LOVED Santa this year and could not wait to see him when we passed him in the parking lot.  She, of course, thought Santa was only there to see her because in her little eyes it's all about her.  LOL!!  She did ask Santa for Buzz Lightyear for Christmas, which was a relief because some days she tells me some off the wall things she wants for Christmas.
